what is the differance between the Flight Simulator X Standard Edition and the Deluxe Edition other than the amount of plans, and $20.00? both are same size. Can you plan on line with both.

Well one is the SDK but if you do not plan to develop anything yourself then that is not really important. Ther are a few more planes and also a number of airport have extra detail.
The main thing to be aware of is there is not a practical way to upgrade from one version to the other - you can't get the improved airports for example as an extra on the standard edition.
I think that dual cockpit operations are also missing from the Standard Edition as well.

The Deluxe Version is the only way to go for a simmer. If you are just casually interested in a flying game and have never had a previous version, you might be satisfied with the Standard version. Microsoft explains the differences here: www.fsinsider.com/About/
