Multi-player support for FSX is finally available. Thanks Russell!!! Check it out here: www.chocolatesoftware.com/fshost/You need to download FSHostClient because Microsoft locked their so-called Gamespy Multi-Disconnect up and will provide no Multi-Player SDK. But, now we can fly online again and best of all we can fly FS2002/FS9 and FSX on the same FS Host servers we all love.

Yepper he did a great job, works really well been using it on our server and no problems at all. What's really neat is unlike the previous versions of FS u still see your AI traffic along with anyone your flying with.

Does this show gamespy servers too? The FS-X default multi client is very VERY buggy, don't know if any of you have noticed. If you leave a session you get kicked out because "Someone has accessed your account on another computer". Then, you will sit loading the game and multiplayer data for 5 minutes or greater only to be disconnected with the same error.
Argh! Frustrating!
I am definitely giving this one a try...

u still see your AI traffic along with anyone your flying with. I don't think that is intentional though, since he does mention: Disable local AI traffic in FSX. (Options / Settings / Display / Traffic tab, set "Airline" and "General Aviation" traffic to zero)

Does this show gamespy servers too? Nope, FS Host is for multiplayer. It has nothing to do with the unfortunate Gamespy debacle. One need not (and probably should not) have anything to do with Gamespy. I don't.

agree Tom, I tried it once and it seemed to work ok but if I can use FSHost that's all I want.
Kobbe your right about the ai traffic, if you don't disable it you will see it, I usually turn off the ai a/c but leave the boat and road traffic on.
