For those who are interested in recreating some of PAA's Central and South American routes from the early 1930's.............. The Sikorsky S-40 route is the one from Miami to Havana to Kingston. The one from Miami and then through the Caribbean and on down the coast of Brazil to Buenos Aires is the Consolidated Commodore route. There is no FSim model of this aircraft (pity!). The S-38 Sikorsky flew up the west coast of the continent...and also up the Amazon, across the bottom and across the top. The Ford was flown in Central America and up through Mexico. Bruce

When I went through the Museum of Flight in Seattle, they have a small display for the Clipper. It had a world map with the routes on it. I took pics of it, but they came out crummy because they were taken through glass. I figured that I'd at least be able to make out enough of it to get what I need out of it.
When AFCAD for FS-X becomes available, I plan on duplicating the Clipper Routes as much as possible. If anyone has maps the quality of above, I'd love to get a link or copies or something of them.

Thanks Bruce!
Reminds me- I went to the birthplace of Pan Am in Key West. It's now a really neat restaurant called Kelly's and is owned by Kelly McGillis, of Top Gun fame.

I remember McGillis for her role in "Witness" more than I do for her performance in "Top Gun". Good to learn she's still acting (The Graduate stage play) as well as being a restaurant-owner.
