I have decided to use a novel method of publishing this epic flight......a blog! Using Windows Live Writer (thanks, Tom ) I have ventured into the world of blogging, but this site has a specific purpose. Chocks away!!! henrycrun.spaces.live.com/default.aspxBruce

Hello Bruce, Putting your flight into your blog is a great idea, very easy to access. By the way, and maybe I missed it, but what plane do we use to fly this route.

Hello Bruce, Putting your flight into your blog is a great idea, very easy to access. By the way, and maybe I missed it, but what plane do we use to fly this route. Thanks for the feedback. The real flight was done with the Short Singapore Mk.1....only one was ever built. However, there isn't a model of this type for Flight Simulator. There is a Mk.III, the 4-engined military version, which you could use. EDIT. I know this is historically as inaccurate as you could get, but I'm actually using the new Junkers W-33 as created by Bill Ortis. Sir Alan would be aghast at the fact that I am not using British Equipment but it is period-correct, if not manufacturer-correct. And it is just a delight to use.
Regards,. Bruce

Interesting way of presenting a flight, Bruce. I've been following it since you released the Blog. Very professionally done - nice route map and photos - reads well, as an adventure should. I will take this epic flight, no question about it - in due time of course - got a couple of others to finish up! ;D Dan …it’s great being a kid again – without the glue!

Bruce- This has really turned out to be quite an amazing project..well beyond a FS amusement flight..IMHO.
When this is complete..perhaps you should give some thought to sending it off to one of the FS/Computer magazines for publication.

Bruce- This has really turned out to be quite an amazing project..well beyond a FS amusement flight..IMHO. ..... Royce, I'm flattered. Thanks very much for the kind words. I'm quite enjoying the experience of reading the book, gathering the necessary information and then writing it up for publication. I just hope that it doesn't take as long to create for Flightsim as it actually took for the explorers to undertake! ;D Thanks again, and I trust that you are enjoying the ride so far. Regards, Bruce

Just read through your last update. I've been enjoying the entries. Being a fan of flying boats, I'll have to check out that new release by Jens Kristensen.
