Hello All,
The first section of the scenery is complete. It covers day one through day seven. I thought I as did my testing I would take a number of pics and upload them for everyone to view.
1. Up early to check the Jenny at Phennick Farm, scenery is included with Bill and Lynn Lyon's Travel Air. The Jenny repaint is by Mr. Leon Louis.
2. Checklist complete, time to taxi just before Eight a.m..
3. Rolling down the field and ready for take-off.
4. Heading south before traveling west, the 8 a.m. train.
5. Around the train and west toward Columbus, Ohio.
6. Columbus, Ohio KCMH included with Golden Wings 3.
7. A couple of miles south is Norton Field, one of our stops on the 1931 National Air Tour.
8. The Norton field Hangar.
9. Getting low on fuel, a quick stop in Thomasville, Ohio (fictional) included with Waco.
10. In this day and age, any fuel station will do, Esso in the east, Texaco in the west end of town.
11. The airshow and fair seem to be going well.
12. 22 miles further west and we're over the Waco Aircraft Company Factory, in Troy Ohio. Scenery from Waco Factory here in The Old Hangar.
13. Picking up the Waco Packard Diesel, my repaint, Windrunners will be much better but this will do for testing.
14. Airborne and 96 miles north to Dearborn and the Ford Airport. The spotlights are animated as you approach.
15. Over the main hangars and the Dearborn Inn.
16. After landing, taxing toward the ramp, On July 1, 1931 that ramp will be filled with cars, aircraft, and special scenery only visible during the Tour.
17. Taxing Past the passenger terminal, another look at the spot lamp. Let's find a place to park and head out in the car.
18. The main entrance to Ford Airport.
19. Just west of town you'll find the original Ford Motor Company Factory building.
20. Back to the Dearborn Inn and time to spend the night.
This concludes the road to Detroit, tomorrow we will move the plane to its parking area and get ready for the Tour.
Hope you enjoy.
