Hello Again,
I'm getting closer to finishing this scenery two more test flights. The first section (Days 1 to7) should be ready to upload late this weekend unless I go off on another tangent, like Fort Ticonderoga. Pardon me, needed a break. Anyway, here's the screen shots from Day Five; Scoot Field Wheeling WV to Norton Field Columbus Ohio to Huntington WV.
1. 10 am start time........taxi, take off, look at the beautifully Ohio River. you may not know it, but Fokker Aircraft were produced in West Virginia just south of Wheeling in the town of Moundsville through the 1920s.
2. One last trip past the airfield. In the seven years of the air tour the only accident resulting in a fatality occurred here at Scott Field......
3. KCMH Columbus on the right Norton on the left.
4. Taxing toward the The National Air Tour Parking area......
5. Time to go, the fuel pumps are to the left of the building/Hangar...
6. Looks like the Hangars empty, I'll have to change that.....
7. Taxing toward the runway, time to go.
8. Approaching Huntington-Chesapeake Municipal Airport. My home town is across the river, Huntington WV. My house is just to the left and out of the picture. Also directly across the river is Marshall University. There's a new movie out "We Are Marshall" which is about our football team's plane crash in 1970. There were a number of stars here and filming lasted just over two months. A very close friend, almost a big brother was on that Plane. See the movie, it's great.
9. Enough rambling, lined up and ready to land
10. On the ground passing the hangars.....
11. Thought I would park in the appropriate spot.
Getting ready to take off and test Day Six. I can't wait for day 21!!!!!!
Hope you enjoy......
