Hello All,
This one's complete and testing has started on the last day of the first section. "Praise Be". I have completed all the airports, afcad, AI, now I'm working on packaging and documentation.
The flight from Huntington to Knoxville was flown in the Travel Air 6000, from Golden Age Simulations. If you haven't seen their work, it's wonderful. Golden Age and I started these projects at different times and it was only by coincidence that they produced the aircraft. I thank them. Here's the screen shots.........
1. Good Morning, 9 a.m. time to show off the aircraft in the NAT Parking area at KHTW, Huntington-Chesapeake..
2. Push back into the Travel Air parking area......
3. Just after take off, strong headwind....
4. Over Kentucky, the insignia is for the 2003 recreation of the National Air Tour, again, Thanks Golden Age.
5. The mountains of the "Blue Grass State", while "My Old Kentucky Home" plays in the background.
6. The airfield is ahead in the valley, tough approach/departure....
7. Lined up on Final, landing at Colson Field, Middlesboro, Kentucky. This is the home of the P-38 Glacier Girl. See there website for more info, or the History Channel special on her recovery from Iceland.
8. Touch down and taxi....
9. Top off fuel before parking...we're only here a couple of hours then off to McGhee Tyson, Knoxville, Tn.
10. "Got Parking"
11. There's our spot, right beside the refreshments and stands.
12. Waiting for the crowds.
13. Back to the runway and take off, Mountains to the Left, Mountains to the Right, sounds like a Jimmy Buffet song.....
14. Some tight turns in these mountains, trying to save time looses lives.
I crashed, not hurt, but a 30 minute penalty.
15. McGhee Tyson off in the distance.
16. For the second time today, lined up and ready to land....
17. Touch down a little off center...........
18. Taxing toward the terminal and hangar.....
19. Kinda like the "Three Little Bears", some are to big, some are to small, but this one's just right!
20. Until tomorrow,
Day Six is over, and the sunsets on the airfield. Tomorrow we're off to Sky Haven, Nashville, Tn, and Memphis Municipal, Memphis Tn. THEN, it's your turn to post in-flight screen shots.........
