I just recently installed FS Cargo points in the three airports in vol. 1 of Captain Keith's Adv. Scenery. I thought I'd share some pictures from my first flight using them. For my flight, I have chosen to fly the Piper Super Cub. The one I have is Aerosoft's and it is a very nicely done little plane. The quality of this model makes me think of the kind work that Lynn and Bill Lyons do, and that IMO is a big complement. Doing the preflight check at Isla de Sur. Everything checks out okay, but the oil is a little low, I think I'll put some in. Pulling up to get my cargo. And we're away! Sighting land a little while later. Weather looks to be getting a little rough. Some lightning has started too. The tropical hot humid weather is getting to my carburetor (lower right gauge), CHT and oil seem okay though. Coming in for landing. Looks like I'm going to make it. Nice and smooth landing. I was thankful that no pebbles flew up into my propeller. Shutting down and dropping off my cargo, I was pleasantly surprised to see that I beat the deadline by nearly 10 minutes. Not something that usually happens when I'm flying the slow Cub. Now it's time to check that carburetor out. I'm having so much fun with this scenery, that I'm looking forward to the additional volumes. ;D

Looks great. I see you are using some sort of mesh?? Just wondering how it was working with the scenery.

The mesh is FSGenesis' freeware 38m mesh. I got it from the download section on their site. It actually works pretty good with this scenery. I've seen one or two buildings sticking out the side of mountains, but the runways themselves are fine. The abandon runway is a little tucked in (see picture below) on one side, though. I like it, because IMHO it adds to the feeling of the airstrip being abandoned, but everyone might not feel the same way.

I will say it sure is different. It sort of takes the tropical feel away from it though. In the next volumes you wont notice any mesh interaction because I am adding my own mesh that will override any addon mesh. Changing the elevation and adding mountains are nice (but I am almost 100% sure they are not there in real life) but it messes up the areas that are part of the adventures like crashed planes and so forth. But in the end it's all up to each persons taste.

But while I was doing some of my own flights, I thought I'd pop the mesh in and see how it looked. ;D

I got the Super Cub yesterday. It's nice. It's a great plane. I've only got it recently myself. Though not as extensively as the Aeroworx b200, it one of the few other payware models I have that make a serious attempt at simulating damage and oil management.

MY avg FS Cargo is like 39% ;D Though I often enjoy navigating by older means, I use GPSes a lot when using FS Cargo to help me get there in time. FS Cargo is rather addictive isn't it? ;D
