First of all, I downloaded Holger Sandmann's new Freeware Mesh for the Canadian Rockies!
At first it didn't seem to work right
Now as my friends know, instead of B****ing, I try to fix problems via posting on forums and asking the developer nicely, and 9 times out of 10, the problem is fixed. The other SimV members (where I posted all this) were not sure of the specific problem and offered me several suggestion. I e-mailed Holger then went back to changing the order, settings, etc.
Well, Holger didn't just e-mail me back in response, he joined to post the solution on SimV! It turned out that the default lakes were set too high (hence the odd-looking river)...
He pointed me to a thread about this here
And to a file over at FSGenesis here...
Called bcablakefixv2.zip (just follow the instructions to install)
And that fixed the issue (see how results can be obtained when you are nice to freeware developers? )
Soooo, after fixing that issue, I decided to take a flight in a KZIII, a sweet little plane available here (note, you may have to select a different page, but it's usually near that one)...
Leaving Castlegar...
And Holger's new mesh doesn't disappoint!
Encountered some clouds, and had a bit of a scare when I couldn't see the ground, but luck was with me...
Hmmm...not a bad place for a cabin!
Nor there either!
Coming in on final to Revelstoke...
I was going to head over to Golden, but I wanted to try something different, so I took the EC120 Colibri (Get it at Hovercontrol)...
(Can I post this here or does it screw up the theme of the site too much?)
The VC was as much of a treat as the scenery!
This is by Team Nemeth, and so is a must-have if you like eggbeaters!
Check out this VC (no panel though...if you care about that sort of thing, but if you do, the VC gauges are so smooth, you will probably not notice...)
Coming in to land at Golden (now all I have to do is get myself back to the garden...)
;D
Hmmm, that is definitely not stardust though...
I landed and got out (the doors are clickable too!) Did I say this has a schaweet VC?
