Kevin, You mentioned in the other thread (Japanese route) about some .eng files just don't seem to be "happy" with RailDriver.
If you download the current (free) edition of "RouteRiter" (available at train-sim.com, if I recall) there is a new function that has been added to the host of checking and tweaking menus that now includes RailDriver tweaks.
This may be exactly what you are looking for.

I've been messing around with the engine files of some trains and I've gotten some to work pretty well with RD, but some trains are being pretty stubborn about accepting the RD. Perhaps RouteRiter will help me get them working.

This turned out to be really handy. It allowed me to fix the X3800 train that I have. I like to use it on the Hisatsu Route. This train is one that I have spent some time modifying to my liking, so it would have been a shame to write it off as a loss. In this train, the controls face towards the left of the train, so you look right to see ahead and left to see back. The included cab was missing it's gauges, so I borrowed a cab from a similer, but later model X5800. Though it's not a perfect match, it's more than close enough to be very suitable. I did have to do a little fine tuning to the engine file after editing it with Route Riter, as it turned the train into a 4 gear diseal, when in reality it has only 2 gears. That was easy to fix though. Here are a few pictures of this unique train with the cab that I've aliased it to. The train from the outside; Looking at the controls, which faces to the left; Looking ahead. Looking back; It's really nice to have this train working with the Raildriver as since I have a speed guage on the RD, I don't need to look left at the trains controls as often. Thanks again for the HU on Route Riter, Bruce.

Good stuff, Kev! Excellent to read that you've managed to achieve a workable arrangement....that's great. That's a little beauty, Route Riter. Very, very handy for checking consists and Activities. (It was developed by an Aussie, so it MUST be good! ;D ) Bruce

I'm finding it handy indeed. There were some unused trains I wanted to get out of my trainset folder and Route Riter helped me locate the proper consist files afterwards so I wouldn't be getting errors on startup.
