Kev, I think you can rest assured that Deltics never ran on a Continental route. Looks, good, though. Bruce I had a feeling that they hadn't, but Trainz puts them over on mainland Europe so I had wondered. ;D Normally I prefer authenticity with my train activities, but this was mostly just experimenting while I was figuring out how to do it, so I didn't bother to research what I did. Though my favorite trains are the F7/F9 car body trains that you see here in the US, the Deltic Class 55 is one of my favorite Europe trains. It is to bad they are no longer in service. I'm guessing that probably with England's wet environment it is just not possible for them to remain in service that long, unlike here were because of the dry environments you can still see some pretty old trains (and even older cars) still in use. Basically I want to put this train in the English route I have, but the route keeps crashing the AE, even though route writer gave it a clean bill of health. I thought up another way I may be able to do it. By making copies of the activity and user service, create a new consist with consist builder then manualy edit the user service to use that consist.

Thanks for the link, Bruce. Good info there. The Deltic's not only different on the outside but inside as well. My idea worked. I was able to create a new activity using only notepad and ConBuilder. I didn't think it was going to work. It's always nice when an idea works out. Here's a rundown on what I did. First I made a copy of the activity that I wanted to edit and changed the file name to reflect the new activity. Next I opened it with Notepad and changed the activity name and description to fit the Deltic. Also I changed the name of the user service. Next I made a copy of the original user service file and changed it to the name I had put in the new activity file. Next I opened it and changed the name of the user consist. Last I made a copy of the original consist file and renamed it to the name I put in the new service file and used Conbuilder to replace the locos with Deltics. This was pretty easy and it was like getting a whole new activity. Here are a few pictures of the Class 55 in it's natural habitat, on a trip from London to Peterborough.

Good stuff, Kevin. I'm pleased to see that it worked for you. Bruce It makes a nice way to get around the AE when it's acting up.
