A Great Combination . . .
The Santa Fe F7
. . . and the ADFRR Route - Where West - Meets East
I got both about a week or so ago and after some intense consist building and rebuilding and learning and relearning the route, I was finally able to run where I've been wanting to run . . . the great plains and out west.
The Sante Fe is a free bonus skin that comes with BLW's Western Maryland Engines pack. It is well crafted with that old 'worn' look, which after loading up some 60 old 40' cars, it fit the era I grew up in perfectly.

The ADFRR route is by Robert Reedy with activities by Chris Bogley. It's also very well done, with lots of trees where the land has trees and plenty of everything to enhance the journey.
I'm running the basic (very basic) 'Explore the Route' activity, which is just fine - I like to look around, stop once in awhile, get something to eat with a soda of sorts, and run fast. It's about an 8-10 hour ride, so should be finished about the time I land in Capetown!

Here are some shots along the way . . .
The Santa Fe
The Freight
The McDonalds ;D
The Cab (also comes with a basic Virtual Cab - nice for looking around)
The Mountains
The Old Caboose - nap time!!
There's nothing like a Santa Fe, an open road, a worn out horn, and an ol' fashioned root beer . . . ah life is good!

…it’s great being a kid again – without the glue! ;D
