Quick question . . . As noted in 'Fixes, Tweaks and Tips' I'm in the process of loading a new/old hand me down computer, which should be much faster for both Train-Sim and Flight-Sim. That being said, I re-installed MSTS last night and the various patches including the Bin and here-in-lies the question? After installing the 'Microsoft' patch/upgrade (1.2 or 1.4), I noticed that a lot of the files (.dlls, etc.) ended up in the main Train Simulator folder below/after all the simulator's main sub-folders (Routes, Trains, etc). Is that where their supposed to be? There's only the auto install method to install the patch, but it seems odd that all these files ended up in the main folder and not in any 'respective' sub folders. If that's where their suppose to be, then I'll leave them alone, but if not, then I'll need to move them manually to wherever their suppose to be. Thanks! Dan, Can you give an example of some of the files that you are concerned about? Then I can compare with my Train Sim main folder and possibly put your mind at rest. Bruce

Bruce,
Here are a few - starting right after the UTILS folder:
O app.fbk Conv3DS Conv3DS Release Notes Conversion of Shapes and Textures1.01 defualt.fbk di_Keys.dll dialog.dll drivers dw ebuella1.dll dbuella2.dll EULA1 EULA2
continuing on randomly:
menu.dll mprofile String.dll tsbmpklp.dll tsqtz tsqtz32.dll
I also installed the a couple of other updates (Tools) from the Microsoft Trains (MSTS) site, so some of them may have come from that - not sure.
Thanks Bruce

Dan, They're all in my Train Simulator root folder. (Except those odd ones "Conv....", which must belong there but are associated with some other add-on). Cheers! Bruce

Thanks, Bruce!
Those other files are probably associated with the MSTS Tools update I also installed.
Since both these Train/Flight Sim installs are new on this different computer, I'm trying to keep any rogue files at bay. The FS9 install is the first since January of 2004 - bringing back a lot of memories . . .
Much appreciated, thanks!
