...and I have a question for my peers here!

Has anyone successfully greated chrome and polished aluminium paint effects for FSX yet?

I get close, but every time I get near, the next tweak flops it all. Mind you, I think I may still have a hardware issue with polished metal, shine, spec and reflections because I cannot get the specs to do the right levels of colour reflect either.

Anyway, I have also been working on a painted pair - two for the price of one as they say:

Chris..... I've spent many an hour trying to get the bare metal texture right in FSX. I too start to get close.... then bang.... it's gone.

I did just purchase the Hughes H1-B by Aerosoft. It has the best aluminum texture I've seen to date..... however, I have not yet taken it apart to look. (Business trip got in the way.)

P.S. I still marvel at your swirl eng. cowling textures...... AMAZING Artist you are!!!!!
