Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen. This is my first real post on this forum so I hope I'm doing it right!! I would like help to increase the pan rate in Virtual Cockpit mode in FS9. I understand this involves editing the cfg file, but I am unable to find any reference to this. I have just downloaded and installed a Grumman Goose from Custom Classics and they make reference to changing the rate from the default 400 to "a more realistic 900" . I have tried a search to check for any previous posts on this topic but no luck. Love the Goose and VC would seem the way to fly it

Hi Super Huey, You must have hidden files and extensions unchecked then search for Fs9.cfg The cfg is what you need to edit and it isn't in the main Fs9 folder. Always backup your cfg before editing.
Cheers,
Roger.

Hi, I'm fairly new to flying in FS2004 I was wondering, how to I pan slowly up/down left/right using the keyboard in VC mode? I've tried Shift-NumPad keys, but that just makes the ailerons move. Cheers!

Avoidz, welcome to TOH First a request-When asking a new question, it's best to start your own 'new thread', rather than asking in someone elses thread. It avoids confusion and assures that your question will be seen.. You'll have to make key assignments..Settings>Controls>Assignments>Button/Keys tab>View catagory..... Look for the (4) 'Look <left, right, up, down> (Pan)' assignments. With Num lock on-Num 4, 6, 8 and 5 work well. You'll be 'stealing' the default 'Look' (snap) assignments. The assignments will still give the 'snaps' in 2D cockpit, but 'pan' in VC and Spot. Note: for some reason the sim may leave the default 'Look' asignments. You'll have to use the 'delete assignment' to remove the duplicate assignments so your new assignments work properly. The Shift key has the effect of temporarily reversing the NumLock state. So if you have NumLock on (for num key view commands), pressing Shift+a num key sends a NumLock off num key which are default control surface commands. Dave
