Hi Friends, The G.18V is almost finished, it needs only some retouches in FDs and cfg files (I'm waiting them from FSAviator). I hope to upload it before the week-end..... ;D ;D ;D ;D

BTW, incredible job on that vc.
I have a question: was its fuselage in metal or canvass?

Uhm....just thinking about the right sounds package. Are sounds included, Manuele?. BTW, incredible job on that vc. I have a question: was its fuselage in metal or canvass? Hi Windrunner, The sound are included, they are a modified version of OBIO's (SOH) ones for FIAT BR.20. The fuselage and the wings were metallic, the control surfaces were only partially covered with canvas. Hi Friends, I just uploaded the FIAT G.18V....... I hope You agreed my "baby" [glow=red,2,300]CREDITS: [/glow]Original GMAX models by Manuele Villa (MVG3D). VC and animations by Manuele Villa (MVG3D). Original textures by Manuele Villa (MVG3D). Flight dynamics by FSAviator. Handling notes and tutorials by FSAviator. Aircraft descriptions and history by FSAviator and Manuele Villa. Prop textures by Bob Rivera. Gauges: many of the Italian gauges in this panel were created from scratch or radically modified from freeware items by Manuele Villa using partially modified Italianwings base bitmaps, other gauges are from Stefano Meneghini (PCMENEG), Hauke Keitel (KeDI). Original Sounds by OBIO & LAWDOG2360 (Sim-Outhouse) modified by Manuele Villa (MVG3D). Very special thanks to ALL the Sim-Outhouse members for their support and suggestions. ;D ;D ;D ;D

I've installed this plane and my windows in VC are all black. I am using FSX and I've read that it is compatible with it. Is there any way to fix that?
BTW, your planes are amazing!

Yes it is an Alpha layer problem, a common problem for those like me running FSX in DX10. ... follow the below instructions I copied from SOH - you will need to d/l DXTBMP from www.mwgfx.co.uk/index.htmStart DXTBMP and on the right hand side select your image editor then do the following: 1. Click on open, got to the texture folder with the offending glass texture, double click to open it in DXYBMP. 2. Go to Image/Flip Image and Alpha. Click that. You won't see anything happen as it is usually a dark square but rest assured it does happen. 3. In the top right hand corner is the Alpha Window. Click on the second icon (the one with the down arrow) to send the file to the editor. 4. In the editor open the colour palette. This should be a palette with 256 squares with different shades from black (0) to white (255). Click on one of the black squares between 0 and 20 then save it (click on the disk icon) 5. In the Alpha click on the refresh icon (up arrow) then repeat step 2. 6. Go to File/Save As/DDS DDS Texture Then save as DXT5 (with Alpha). You will need trial and error to get the correct Alpha setting to make things visible through the glass. Hope this helps

Looks great!!!
Many thanx!

Ah, what nostalgia seeing some of the old names on this thread. Dan, Lifejogger, Slide and, of course the greatly missed Windrunner. Wonder what happened to the first three?

You're not wrong, Roger. Have we really been gathering here for over seven years?! Yes Bruce.....and even a little longer. (smile) It is hard to believe sometimes that this is the ONLY forum I've ever visited so much. Oh.....I'm signed up at a couple others I think....or at least I used to be, however, this is the only one I've ever visited on a regular basis......and quite frankly......the only one I've found folks I care to visit with. (smile) I must admit......It is kind of nice to jump on a thread and see friends forum posts. Brings back good memories!!! Cheers,
