thanks

The original message seems to have disappeared but this is what I remember:
The airports built after WWII: KORD, KLAX, KSEA, KDFW, KMIA, KPHX, KJFK, KSFO, KLAS, KSTL, KMLI, KPDX, KDEN, KCGX, KIAD, KATL and perhaps a couple I missed are covered over in GW3 but still show in the Go To Airports menu.
Removing them from there would require modifying a number Microsoft bgls which for obvious reasons we did not do. You can post this list on the side of your monitor and avoid using them.
Or... if so inclined you can build a simpler version in the same spot for your own use.
Some other airports were modified extensively in GW3, others have generic backdating like the removal of taxiways.
Take a look at KBGR and KPWM in FS9 and then in GW3 to see what kind of simple antiquing can be done. There are a number of other fields that were detailed, like Chicago Midway for example.
I'll sticky this since the question come up now and then.

Any military airfields get the special treatment to your memory?

Sorry I missed this. No, no specific military fields were done. Godfrey Field (Bangor) had military visitors but did not become an AAF base until around 1940. Brunswick NAS didn't exist in the 30's so I took liberties when I back dated it. What we were modeling was 20s-30s and there were not many "military airfields." The military aircraft used whatever was available just like the civil aircraft. The Army & Navy simply purchased or appropriated what they needed when the War approached. That time period was outside what we were doing with Golden Wings.
