I'll be danged if I know what I did wrong. I excitedly downloaded the "MoCat's Caribbean Seaplane Tours" and ran the install wizard that came with it. I'm new to FSX and the downloading of scenery and equipment, but I have been successful in installing some other planes and airports. Regardless, thank you for the wizard!
The .readme file instructs activation in the FSX/settings/scenery window. The problem is, there's nothing to activate! I've checked the directories and the .bgl files are there but they don't show up in the scenery library for activation.
Keep in mind that I'm computer literate enough to get me into trouble and I'm certain that there's a simple fix. Can someone help?

Hi lantazan, Scenery is activated as Mocat said, either before you fly in settings/library then browse to addon scenery and you'll find Mocats scenery. Then activate it and click "ok" The scenery library can be accessed during a flight by going to the top menu/world/scenery library and activating it as above. In Vista I just have to hover over the addon scenery I want to add and when it turns light blue pressing "ok" activates it. This may be the same in XP.

Thank you so much for answering my thread, Roger. I'm really excited about piloting for a virtual airline and I want to make sure I'm doing everything right.
I think my problem lies with where the .bgl files installed to. I don't want to go shifting stuff around and mess up something else. I found all of the scenery by navigating C:\my computer/program files/Microsoft Games/Microsoft flight simX etc. but they don't show up on the in-game scenery library to activate. Where should those files be in order to access them in-game?

The idea here is to add the scenery folder for the specific scenery to the FSX Scenery Libraries, lantazan. The key is the column of buttons on the right side of the Scenery Libraries dialog box. The following will work as long as you haven't made any mods to the normal access to the main selection window for FSX. The sequence to access the libraries is this: FSX Selection main window/settings/libraries. Choose the ADD button, then browse to the specific scenery folder either in the ADDON Scenery folder, or in the FSX folder tree. The specific scenery folder doesn't have to be in the ADDON Scenery folder to work. You do have to highlight the specific scenery folder in the folder tree, and set it for Use This Scenery Area Directly, then click OK. Don't highlight the scenery or the texture folders, only the specific scenery folder for the scenery area. Like the picture below: You should see your specific scenery area show in the libraries list with a red check mark to the left of the name, if all went well for you. The red check marks allow you to switch the scenery areas on and off. Also, you will see FSX build the scenery when you click the OK button to go back to the Main FSX selection window. After you add the scenery folder, you will be able to access the scenery through the Free Flight Menu of the main window. as Roger has stated previously.

Did you use the self-Installer?
If yes, then follow these instructions and do a manual install, if NO then follow the steps below:
Run the self-installer again.......when it says "Browse to the mian FSX folder" Don't. Hit "Browse" in the lower right corner and Browse to your desktop. Now, in the lower left corner you'll see a button, called "Create New Folder". Create a new folder and continue copying the files to this location.
Once copied, open the folder.....you'll see 2 folders called Addon Scenery and Effects.
Now, Open this folder, you'll find the following folders:
1. Addon Scenery 2. Effects
Copy the contents of the Effects folder to your FSX/Effects folder.
Open the Addon Scenery folder
You'll see three (3) Folders.
1. Caribbean Sea Planes 2. Scenery 3. Texture
Open Caribbean Sea Planes and copy all of the folders to your FSX/Addon Scenery/Scenery folder.
Copy the scenery and texture folder to you FSX/Addon Scenery. It will as to overwrite. Say "YES" your not really overwriting anything but it asks because the folder names are the same.
Make sure your addon scenery folder is activated "a check in the box" of the scenery settings. Activate the folders you copied to Addon Scenery in the order listed in the read me.....
Now restart FSX and go to Key West.......
