I wonder if someone knows how to speed up the panning (head swiveling) in VC. I can recall there is a trick to do with the main .cfg file (increasing a certain number), but I can't remember the full tweak . Help would be much appreciated.

For FS9: Open the 'fs9.cfg' file and locate the [Controls] section and add the line 'pan_rate=' [Controls] .................. pan_rate=400 //default is 400. Increase the value to speed up pan. Many find 900 a good value. For FSX: There is no single global setting. The pan rates for global camera views are set in the 'Cameras.cfg' file, located in the same place as your 'fsx.cfg' file. Look for the applicable section, in this case 'Title=Virtual Cockpit'. Look for: HeadingPanRate=75 //accepts values from 0 to 100 You can set the rate of other 'panning' views as well. For more information on the FSX camera definitions, look here: msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc526984.aspxDave

Thank you very much for the quick and comprehensive reply, Dave3cu. P.S. And I forgot to mention it's FS9 I'm using.
