AWSOME! Any chance we could coax a "Cannibal Queen" out of the mix? Stephen Coontz' book would make a great FS adventure. Anyone else read and enjoy his flight across U.S. with his son? KB

Me too... I don't fly the oldies much anymore and I've never been hot for military aircraft, but a Stearman has an irresistible appeal. It's one of the timeless ones.

KB We're planning a civilian mod with a 450 Prat and 4 ailerons. No idea what Coonts configuration was. If anyone knows and has pictures e-mail me at Spad54@aol.com

No idea what Coonts configuration was. Bill Lyons made a 'Cannibal Queen' for FS2000! On this Avsim page you can read more about it and there's a routemap as well.. Theo

Bill's Cannibal Queen package is still available on flightsim.com as well: cqueen.zip. The route maps are included: lots of great short biplane flights in there.

Thought it was time for an update as to where we are with the project. The FS9 PT-17 is complete and being tested by the design team. The FSX version has been started. Here are a few screen shots of the VC. Please note that both cockpits are fully functional and the plane can be flown in either position As we progress we will be building a civilian version the Cannibal Queen. I have been corresponding with Mr Coonts and he is sending pictures to aide in the project. It will be powered by the 300 hp Lycoming R-618-13 with a constant speed prop. The last version to be included with be the airshow beast, the Pratt and Whitney powered 450 hp R-985. All versions will be native FSX as well as FS2004. There will be a scenery add-on as well, depicting Gil's home strip, Stormville Airport, in Stormville NY Happy 4th of July Best Paul, Gil, Jim, Kobbe
