The Paint Shop sounded like the place to post this.
I created a video tutorial demonstrating how to take a photograph of some surface, such as grass or dirt, and create a seamless texture.
It certainly is not perfect, or the only way, but if you never knew how or want to try a different technique this might be worth watching.
