Hi guys, I'm setting up a flight plan with touch and goes which works well until the aircraft comes into land, about 200ft before touch down a "going missed" message appears ? any idea why its doing this ? there are no other aircraft on the runway either. Craig

My guess is that this is not a default aircraft right? This usually happens if the fde of the aircraft isn't totally suitable for the FS AI flight model - usually means it's coming in too high and/or too fast.
The easy way to get round it is to swap the air file for one from a default aircraft and maybe even the cfg file as well if it still doesn't work properly. The thing people forget about AI is you don't need 'realistic' flight files - you only need ones that work. Most flight files that modellers have created to be 'really true to life' for their models are hopeless when you turn the aircraft into AI.

In that case it's probably down to the airfield. Does it have a very short runway? Is there some high ground on the approach? You may have to adapt the FDE of the aircraft so it comes in slower (more flap, more drag) and has more braking.

It can can be related to the altitude of the airport (=afcad-and not the plane). Give a look at it too; I can remember it is the runway altutude conflicting with something else.

Thanks Guy's ! Ive managed to get it going ! the flight plan was set up on IFR flights which can't do touch and goes (Duh) but now when changed to VFR they do a very quick circuit of the airfield and touch down about 50ft to the left of the runway the runway is 12,000 ft long so no problems there.
