The first of 3 versions of the Stinson Model S is complete. When completed there will be an additional 2 aircraft; the SM-2 and the SM-8. Also a fine scenery package of Antique Airfield, home to a few of these fine old planes Pictured here is the FS9 version. The FSX bird is in the paint shop. The test flight: It was a beautiful day at Emma Field so I decided to take the Stinson, freshly painted out for a little sight seeing. Walking up to her I could see she looked in fine shape windows and doors open keeping the inside cool while waiting to get going Walking around the Jr and looking in the left window, even though she's a classic golden age bird, modern technology is just a "click" away in the flight bag on the right seat. This, by no means, implies that she's not fitted out well. Her panel has everything a sporting man of 1931 needs to pilot his way. With a roomy cabin, the passengers have ample leg room and great views of the pilot, keeping an eye on his "every" move Loaded up and ready to go and she's off climbing out at KEWL Departing out we'll go circle the Falls at Emma Above the Falls It really is a great day to fly and she's behaving great! Gil, Jim, Kobbe and I hope you enjoyed the peek at whats next. No release date for certain, but probably by mid to late March
