I made a video of the Beech D18. We takeoff at Sultan Field, WA and land at Seaside, OR. Sultan Field is a Georender airport while Seaside is one I made with Lago FSE. I always use real weather updates through Active Sky so you can see the weather is a little windy but otherwise nice. The video is about 4 minutes. Hope you enjoy it. ;D VIEW VIDEO HERE - (12.3MB - 320x240)

Keith, what a great video - the Redhead and I were dancing in the aisle - she loved it! She liked the landing too - said it was much better then many of mine - wouldn't ya know it! Dan …it’s great being a kid again – without the glue! ;D

Well thanks Dan! I am not really a tail dragger pilot so I don't always make picture perfect landings with them but I try. If you noticed there was a nice crosswind blowing from right to left so I came in a bit to the right of the runway so that when I cut power the wind would blow me back to center. In the mountains using active sky you never know what to expect, but it is fun and realistic and that's what I like most. Thanks again Dan and take care of that readhead.

Beautiful work Keith :-) Wife liked it too, especially the music :-) She's obviously much older than I. LOL
All seriousness aside ;-) super video, choreography, flight, and music; all in all, a great production. :-)

I really like it because I can demonstrate flight sim 2004 to some of my colleagues at work. I don't have FS9 installed in my office. It is really awesome projected onto the video screen in my classroom!!!!

Roger, Thanks. Well, I had two choices for the landing... Since there was a stiff crosswind I could either try a slip or over shoot and drift back. Since I am not very good with a tail dragger I didn't want to try the slip so I over shot to the right and drifted back once I cut power... but as Active Sky would have it I got a little microburst right as I was about 30' above the runway so I got the wobbles for a second. I love Active Sky though because you get a really nice sense of realism and never know what to expect which is the way it should be I believe. Randy, I have a bunch of nice videos in NTSC format (DVD Quality and ready to burn to disk) but the bandwidth would be to much for me to pay for if I posted them. If you want a few I can hand pick some and ZIP them and send you a link to download for your friends and students to watch. All are complete flights (takeoff to landing but shortened) but mostly newer planes not vintage ones. Let me know if you might like a few. Anyone else is welcomed to them as well but I would have to limit the downloads to a few a day because these are full screen and fairly large in size each. The ZIP of 3 or 4 might be a couple hundred megs or more.

Keith, that would be great. Drop me a p.m. here. I can then download them while at work where I have DSL. I'm on dial-up here at home.
