Whoa,
Me thinks thou thinks to much! I agree that those who forget history are bound to repeat it. However, I saw someone missing something from their life that for whatever reason a bond was developed with this inanimate object. Having resided away for a period of years, it is not the large emotional attachments that mean so much, it is the small things that most would think you crazy for remembering. For me, it was a particular hotdog from a particular resturant, the sight of the Ohio River, an old theater "The Keith Albee" which can be seen in the new movie "We Are Marshall" and the sound of riverboats and railroad. Now, I miss schwankbraten from the Eifel, wines from the Rhine, Mosel, Italy, and France, Ouzo from Greece, and Fresh Turnkish coffee.
I think that is why I like flightsim, I can go and visit these places in a night with out spending hundreds of dollars. The other part is I can do it in any year, any season, any time.
From your sentiment about this location, I thought it was something you would like to have, so, I made it for you.
At lunch, I did the windows and doors then tried to install in flightsim, disaster CTD (Crash to Desktop). It's something I've done, I'll work on it after work. I'm still shooting for you to have it to test, tonight.
Sincerely, MoCat

HI,Of course when ya get a little long in the tooth, and ya have some time, the mind becomes sorta like a kaleidescope. However we filter all the realities and unpleasantness .Now If "Al" don't get ya,many take comfort with part the past.Leaving out the wars, illness, lose of loved ones and the like.Even here,I'm in the Old hanger,Flying Classic Wings,in a Golden Age.Tells ya something. For some memories or association with time ,events and places are a treasure.Thats why I am so appreciative of what your doing,Fort Ti,will live in my Sim also.Believe me my friend when one visits and travels the world ,there is much to recall. Youth should be spent on creating memories, for one to relish them ...later. Ciao ,Mon Cher Ami,and yes its a 'La Dolce Vita" VIN' The town I mentioned before is "NOLA" encyclopedia.jrank.org/GAG_GEO/GALLIPOLIS.html

Ok, Beana and all other, lifejogger included, Here it is in the scenery. I had to eliminate the moving gate, as I made an error in the model and would almost have to start from scratch. That (aint) isn't happening. So you just have to put up with opened gats. Here's some screen shots from my flightsim, I have GW3 only, don't like the modern world. After looking at the pics, is the fort going the right way? I could really tell on Google Earth, the satelite photo is horrible, and I have not been there. Getting ready to package! What do you think? MoCat

Beana51,
Do you have any other sceneries in that area turned on? Are you using or do you have a custom mesh, i.e., Ultimate Terrain.
The scenery is set up for default or GW3?

Hey Beana, Here's some more photo from GW3 in the snow for you. You might upload the files to GW3 or download runway12 and I'll make the file for you to use and learn to place the scenery in you environment. I would think it would be easier to upload GW3 for packages like ORA, Fort Ticonderoga and others you like or want to use. Here's some winter screen shots...... MoCat

Good AM, Well, after much Yack de Yaking by me,and Work de Working by you,a great thing happened. The recognition of an historical monument. And what a nice job it is.It will grace the world of GW3 ,of which I will soon rejoin,to see and have this work. While its not an airport,it is a place many have used as a ground reporting place.I truly hope this point of interest may prompt the creation of more, for our Sim world. There are a few out there, the WTC,and the resting places in France, come to mind. Now thats real. Again Mr. Mocat,I thank you.Not only for your magnificent work, but more importantly, for your unselfish interest and concern for a fellow simmer. This site, piloted by Tom,and crewed by some great guys ,elevates this "Ole Hanger" to a different altitude than whats out there. For that I thank all who often puts up with the likes of me.And again Chris! Woooo Laaa! Thanx Vin

Hey Beana,
When you upload GW3 you might check out my other works, Meacham Field, Key West, Key Largo Scenery Environment (complete with trains and boats), Akron (Complete with Goodyear blimp hangar and Wing Foot Lake Testing Area, sceneries by others such as scruffyduck. The old world is live with a new vitality.
My current work, "the National Air Tour" has it's own forum here. I think you would enjoy participating with us in recreating that event from 1931.
Thank you for the kind sentiment and ENJOY Life !!!!
