Dan, On my laptop, on which I only have six routes (4 x Maple leaf Tracks, 1 x Feather River, 1 x Milwaukee RMD4) - and no default routes - it takes up 4.1 Gb. On my desktop, which has 29[/i] routes, it absorbs 13.7 Gb. Regards, Bruce [/quote] And that is just scenery along the tracks; imagine if you spread out across the entire countryside, like FS.

On mine I have the default routes, Carrizo Gorge, Milwaukee Road Div.4, Mesaba Electric, MLT's Kicking Horse Pass, Hor-Geo Electric and Downtown Trolley routes installed and it's taking up 4.06gigs of ram.
If I remember right I think a fresh install without any addons was around 1.6gigs.

Thanks guys!!
That gives me a pretty good idea of what to expect and plan for. Rather then switch the drives around (to much work), I think I'm going to do what you did Sgtmajor and use the 80Gb slave drive for the install of MSTS - I didn't realize you could do that with the main program, even though I have all my FSGenesis Mesh running from it and seems to work fine in tandem with the main drive.
I also have a WD 250Gb external Book drive for storage (mostly the wife's stuff), but looks like the flight sim hanger storage will go to it as well now.
I'm look forward to building up a full head of steam this weekend! ;D
