Looks awesome Mick!!!!!
I think turned out better than the one I was working on. Seems you were able to repaint/aquire repaints of actual ORA aircraft.
Keep up the great work...

I have tried and found the AIRound v1.0 (by Valery Stenin) program very nice to look the traffic around the aerodrome, localizate and follow any AI plane... Very easy to install (as a module of FS9 or GW...!) and uninstall anayway ! It is a payware... but you can try it for 10 sessions... Alain

Any estimated date of release?

Still waitin' on Stuart - who is apparently still waitin' on Abacus' tech support to get his FSDS2 working...
Meanwhile, I used the time to add another extra: night textures. I was flying from ORA a week or so ago and got back after dark, and I discovered that all the buildings and scenery objects were just featureless gray shapes. So I made some lightmaps, and now ORA looks like ORA around the clock.
I'm getting kinda antsy waiting on Stuart waiting on Abacus. Every time I think I should go ahead and release it as is, I think, geez, how much longer can it take? So I wait another few days...
What do you guys think? Should we wait a little longer? I can imagine releasing it, then getting the two AI models from Stuart and having to release a patch after just a day or two. And the more time goes by, the greater chance of it happening that way...
I'm also wondering if I should break it up into three (or more) parts - it zips up into about a sixty meg archive.
I probably should split it up, huh?

Darn Abacus .... Mick, it is great you made night textures - I had the same idea, but I was too lazy. Will you publish them too, pleaseplease? Maybe a patch would not be too bad, just because there are so many people waiting impatiently for the release. Splitting a 60meg-pack would be nice for the modem users. I personally do not care, but there are some of us left with a slow connection. Thanks for the update - and waiting!

The night textures will be in the package.
Maybe I should write to Stuart and ask if he's heard anything from Abacus. I don' want to seem like I'm hounding him, but if it looks like a long wait, maybe we should go ahead and release.

I am hurry to see the last ORA... From the old version, I again observed the comings and goings of the planes... it is as with the festival! Only one problem with me... the end of the runway is lost in the trees.

Well, there I was, typing a note to Stuart, when an e-mail arrived from him. Attached was the AI Caudron!
I just wrote back and asked him if he's still interested in AI'ing the SPAD.
Alain, I know what you mean about the runway! This package includes a new AFCAD file that should cure that issue.
It looks like release is on short final! If Stuart's going to AI-ize the SPAD, we'll probably have it in a day or two, maybe sooner. And if he's not going to do that, then I can release as soon as I hear from him. Like maybe tomorrow...
(I don't expect to hear from him this evening, since it's already late at night in his time zone.)

I just heard from Stuart, and he is going to AI-ize the SPAD. He thinks it should provide worthwhile reduction in frame rate hit, so I think it's worth waiting for.
He said he'll have it ready in a couple days, and as soon as I get it I'll release the package. ;D
Meanwhile, here's the AI Caudron rolling for departure:

It looks like I am really there! I thought that the scenery was only for Summertime? It looks like you are all set up flying in the fall. Plus, it looks like you have more trees then I do. Is that my imagination, or is it in the settings? Oh, where are all your people too?

As for the people see the readme:
Effects:
A neat new feature in FS9, you can attach effects to objects in Gmax now. This makes for some interesting avenues to explore. I used Martin Strong's FSpeeps textures, but placed them on my gmax models and told them to only show up during normal ORA hours.
that would be from May thru the end of October, starting at 14:00 local time to 17:00. This was just kind of a generic time frame based on the actual show times.
