Thanks for the reply. That will probably have to work. "BOOM!"

Got it working! Did a "work around" with some other xml gauges and a little help from FSUIPC.

I downloaded "rcbsc12.zip" by Rob Barendregt. Found it on *******. Overlay it to the Tank panel replacing gauge 05. Add a [Lights] section to the Tank Aircraft.cfg useing " Light.1=10, 350.0, 0.0, 10.0, fx_shellhit". In the main Sound file, rename "boom1.wav" to "SpitfireCannon.wav". Useing the instructions in rcbsc12.zip, go to FSUIPC to change the "shift/F4" operating key to a joystick button or key of your choice. There is probably a much easier way to do it, but in the absence of knowledge, and being retired, I do everything the hard way. Good Luck! BOOM!!!

Hello, All, I add my sincere plaudits to everyone who put together the Old Rhinebeck series. Fabulous. It also gave me a good chuckle: During my installation, checking and rechecking various things ("Instructions?! I don' need no stinkin' instructions..."), I had the sound off, as I usually listen to classical music as I build or fly. Anyway, just now I had the sound on, and started off at ORA. The rooster and chickens are a positive hoot! At least I'm pretty sure I heard a rooster and chickens... Dennis S

Yup, rooster and chickens!
Not only do you hear them, if you happen to be looking in the right direction at the proper fraction of a second you can see 'em scatter!
I don't recall seeing any chickens when I was at Old Rhinebeck, but there were ducks and geese hanging around...

I don't understand your *** meaning. I also have Win. XP and every file is in correct location. OH, and my sound is on Jim

Exactly where did you download that file from?? I don't understand your *** meaning. Jim Jim, there are a few outlaw sites who steal freeware and sell it for profit without permission of the authors. Those sites may not be mentioned on The Old Hangar for any reason. I don't allow it. So, like dirty words, those sites automatically get censored. You can get any of Rob Barendregt's files on the legitimate sites like Avsim & Flightsim & simOuthouse. No need to deal with thieves.

Tom, I wondered why that was censored. I did not know it was considered an outlaw site. I won't use them again. You are correct, Barendregt"s files are available elsewhere.
I knew it wasn't a very good site.

For those of us who stumble blindly through life, might it be possible for you to privately publish a list of places not to go?
