Mick, I'm getting the downloads now. I want to thank you on behalf of us all for your work on this project and thanks to Slide for chasing up the authors! It was great as Joe released it but with this AI pack it becomes something else. I'm going to park up and be a plane spotter when I get it all installed! Regards, Roger

THANKS MICK ! It is late in France, and I have just downloaded the new ORA AI that all waited impatiently... I have liked and learned much with the first version. I certainly will spend my night to be installed, admire this one. But above all I want to thank Mick for his work (but is it a work?)... it is a masterpiece... a work of artist!...who puts higher the magic which wonder us more especially flying in the universe of GW. THANKS MICK !

Once you've logged on try F5 and then enter until you get access. I always make sure I log off too!! That way others will have a chance. I wonder how many actually extend this courtesy to their fellow browsers? I do, as a matter of fact... IF I am downloading something, and I know I won't be looking for anything else, I go ahead and logout before my download is finished. It still downloads fine. I went on FS this morn, and I didn't see it up yet. I guess I will go and check again now. Thanks Mick! Jim

Everyone: Despite my determination to get it right the first time, I've already had to upload an enhancement. It should be on FlightSim tomorrow, and it's included in the archive I had to reload to SOH just now.
Stuart removed the cowling louvers from the SPAD when he simplified the model for AI use, and he replaced them with louvers painted onto the fuselage texture. I failed to notice and used the original texture in the package. The enhancement is the correct file with the louvers painted on.
Slide: You couldn't find Part Three at the Outhouse because the archive got corrupted during uploading. I only found out when I got home from work this evening. I've re-uploaded it, so it should appear there soon, and it will include the SPAD enhancement.
That old motorbike really isn't off topic for ORA. They have a large collection of antique ground vehicles as well as the planes, and it includes some old motorcycles. You can check them all out on the ORA website:
www.oldrhinebeck.org/
Note that among the old bikes is an Indian Four, and in the Manual I've listed Joe LoGrasso's FS Indian Four among the other ORA models available to us.
I was tempted to include it in the package, but I resisted the temptation to include flyable aircraft. I only made exceptions for the D-25 because Jack Hill's documentation requires that it be redistributed "intact," the Wright glider because it's been mildly tweaked for ORA, and the tank because it's been seriously hacked.
Roger: In case you haven't read through the book-length Manual, you can do your plane spotting from the best vantage point on the field, the announcer's platform. Just boot up the "Announcer" flight from the flight package. You can see different planes in action by changing the time of day on the Time & Season menu. It's explained in detail in the "Announcer" section of the Manual.
You can also use the "Spectator" to walk around and check out the planes close up, though you might prefer to substitute the Skater from Bill Lyons' 1934 Sportsman package. I know you have it; it's the one with the Ryan STA you use in your avatar.
And yes, I always log out from FlightSim to let others get in. I remember from my early FS days how hard it can be to get in sometimes. I get so much from there now that I don't mind giving Nels my thirty bucks a year for membership, but I know that what seems like pocket change to me might be serious money to many less fortunate simmers.[/color]

I have been the spectator all night. This is far more than the answer for an idiot-proof-AI-pack. Mick, Joe and everybody who made the planes: I guess, this joint effort gave us the most beautiful scene for this simulation so far, IMO. It´s an amazing difference to see all the old planes on site. I added some FSE-sound earlier and I must say: This is my favorite place in FS! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Mick, also from here many thanks for your effords - now Joe's ORA is complete and I will be there many times.
Just one little remark: the model folder of the SPAD is empty - not a major problem because the plane can easily be downloaded apart from the major sites - just copy the model folder over.

Mick, No problem, and thanks for posting as soon as you did that it's missing. Soon as it's up I'll get it.

This is an incredible addon! Great instructions and everything loaded as advertized. It all works for me, except the tank cannon sound. Anyone else having the same problem?

Hmmm... This is a mystery....
I double checked to make sure I included the sound gauge in the upload, and it's right where it belongs.
I have one wild guess... What's your operating system? Since it's an XML gauge, I wonder if maybe it only works in WinXP?
Does anyone know for sure about that?

I.m in Win XP. Other sound gauges, such as the catapult-arrestor ect. work fine. The tank works fine. The dsd sound gauge is in the panel file and the boom1.wav is in the main sound file. The explosion effect works well. There is not a sound from the boom1.wave. Any thoughts are welcome--I know little of the fine points of xml sound gauges (or for that matter, any other gauges). Thanks for your reply. Again, this is the best addon I've seen. What an effort it must have been!

Well, I'm fresh out of ideas. It sounds like you have all the pieces and have them installed correctly. I'm at a loss to suggest anything.
Unless someone else can think of something, I guess you'll just have to shout "Boom!" when you fire the cannon.
